Trustwave security researchers have created a distributed network of honeypots in key regions around the world to enhance their understanding of evolving cyber threats and new attacker methods.
Throughout their research, they’ve discovered correlations among attack attributes, studied botnet behavior before and after successful attacks, found disparities in attack frequencies across various systems, and uncovered a sophisticated new variant of SkidMap malware that targets open Redis instances.
Due to an increased reliance on database storage for sensitive information, the heightened risk of targeted attacks, and the rapidly evolving threat landscape in the digital age, the importance of securing databases has drastically increased. We’re bringing in Security Research Managers, Pawel Knapczyk and Chris Bielinski, to break down their research findings, the current environment, and suggestions for upleveling your organization’s security.
