IDC Market Note: Trustwave Reemerges with a Promising Future and Partner
On January 5, 2024, Trustwave officially closed a transaction which makes the company part of The Chertoff Group affiliate, The MC² Security Fund.
This marks a significant milestone in the company’s history as Trustwave continues the next phase of their journey as a leader in cybersecurity. Trustwave has spent the last several years transforming itself from a PCI compliance supplier in an international telco, to a strategic Managed Detection and Response (MDR) and cybersecurity partner to enterprise organizations.
In the report, IDC follows Trustwave’s transformation journey as part of the telco landscape under the ownership of Singtel. As an MSSP, Trustwave saw the changing needs of clients and the requirements to address the evolving cybersecurity threat landscape with offerings in MDR and co-managed SOC. According to IDC, the pivot to MDR “was a shrewd realignment in direction” affording Trustwave customers access to a robust portfolio in managed security services. In their analysis, IDC sees partnership opportunities with The Chertoff Group to address the challenges that large global companies and governments face with a shared security-focused mission and offerings.
