Trustwave has received the Frost & Sullivan Excellence in Best Practices Company of the Year Award in the Americas Managed Security Services (MSS) market, recognizing Trustwave as being at the forefront of innovation and growth in this category.
"Being named Company of the Year by Frost & Sullivan is a tremendous honor for us at Trustwave," said Trustwave CEO Eric Harmon. “Winning this accolade for the second consecutive year highlights our team's relentless dedication and hard work, as well as Frost & Sullivan’s recognition of our commitment to innovation, responsiveness to market needs with new offerings like MXDR for Microsoft, and our continuous world-class threat intelligence. It’s a testament to our team’s efforts to stay ahead of evolving threats and to continuously enhance the security and protection we provide for our clients.”
Trustwave, which last year was named Company of the Year and Innovation Leader for Managed and Professional Security in the Americas by Frost & Sullivan, was honored this year for consistently developing growth strategies based on a visionary understanding of the future and effectively addressing new challenges and opportunities. Frost & Sullivan noted that Trustwave's approach to MSS involves deploying best practices and strategic analytics across a value chain.
"Against this backdrop, Frost & Sullivan recognizes Trustwave for its valuable achievement," said Frost & Sullivan Chairman David Frigstad. "Moreover, this recognition is the result of many individuals (employees, customers, partners, and investors) making critical decisions every day to support the organization and contribute to its future. Frost & Sullivan enthusiastically acknowledges and celebrates their contributions."
Frost & Sullivan noted that Trustwave has been growing at several times the market average for the last three years, with the analyst firm naming Trustwave as Innovation leader in its 2024 Managed Security Services (MSS) Radar, Americas, and 2024 MSS Radar, Europe thanks to its technology development, investments, and comprehensive strategy. The analyst firm praised Trustwave's acquisition in January by the MC² Security Fund, a private equity firm focused on growth advisory and investments in the security industry and an affiliate of the Chertoff Group.
"This acquisition aligns with Trustwave's goals as an MSSP: partnering with global organizations to increase cyber resilience and leveraging cybersecurity as an essential business enabler. It is also a testament to Trustwave's success and how the company continues to be among the top innovators in the space year after year," Frost & Sullivan stated.
Frost & Sullivan was complimentary of Trustwave's expansive regional coverage and business model, which sees the company deal directly with large, enterprise-level entities while using an extensive network of channel partners to reach mid-market and small businesses. Because of this ample coverage, Trustwave needs to be able to help distinct organizations with extremely varied needs. The company can do this thanks to a combination of an expert team of cybersecurity professionals, a wide portfolio of managed and professional services, and its state-of-the-art proprietary platform, Trustwave Fusion.
In its writeup, Frost & Sullivan noted that Trustwave's team can deal with the escalating complexity of modern IT environments characterized by hybrid and multi-cloud architectures and an ever-evolving threat landscape that has rendered traditional security approaches ineffective. The proliferation of interconnected threat vectors has created a complex puzzle that no single security tool can fully address. Moreover, isolated security solutions offer limited visibility, hindering effective threat detection and response.
The Trustwave cloud-native Fusion platform serves as a unified security command center, providing comprehensive visibility across on-premises, public, and private cloud environments.
"By integrating over 700 third-party tools and Trustwave's extensive security services, Fusion offers unparalleled flexibility and customization. Advanced analytics, threat intelligence, and correlation capabilities empower security teams to effectively investigate and respond to threats," Frost & Sullivan said. "Furthermore, the platform facilitates collaboration between MSSP and customer teams, improving security posture and demonstrating the value of security investments."
In essence, Trustwave Fusion addresses the critical need for a holistic approach to security by breaking down silos, enhancing visibility, and accelerating incident response, Frost & Sullivan said.
The analyst firm discussed how Trustwave's ability to pull together people, technology, and services allows it to deliver outstanding results and protect its clients at the highest possible level.
Trustwave's integrated approach to cybersecurity combines managed security services, professional services, and expert personnel to deliver comprehensive protection, the report stated. The company offers a vast array of managed services, from MDR and SIEM to advanced threat hunting and security technology management. Complementing these are professional services encompassing risk assessment, compliance, security architecture, and incident response. This synergistic combination creates a powerful feedback loop, where insights from consulting services inform the enhancement of managed security offerings and vice versa.
Trustwave's elite SpiderLabs team is the linchpin of this approach. With over 250 cybersecurity experts, SpiderLabs delivers world-class threat intelligence, penetration testing, incident response, and consulting services. By working closely with clients, SpiderLabs strengthens the relationship between Trustwave and its clients, ultimately enhancing cyber resilience.
Frost & Sullivan specifically called out Trustwave Security Colony, describing it as "one of the most powerful differentiators currently in the space."
The report noted that Security Colony provides access to an entire library of resources developed for Trustwave's clients (who have agreed to share the fruit of their investments with others), a wealth of knowledge that includes years' worth of security consulting data, reports, and insights.
"All of these capabilities synergize with Trustwave's entire security suite and help CISOs make important security decisions: having access to these tools and information can mean the difference between a breach and repelling an attack," the report stated.
