Trustwave Launches Two New Microsoft Security Accelerators

Written by | Dec 3, 2024

Trustwave has launched two additional Microsoft Security accelerators designed to quickly increase an organization’s security maturity and identify potential cost-saving initiatives.

The new accelerators are focused on Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Entra ID. There are a few reasons why we chose to develop these accelerators:

  1. Growing importance of data protection and compliance
  2. Identity security is a cybersecurity priority
  3. Cloud adoption demands expertise

The newly introduced Microsoft Security accelerators provide organizations with clear, actionable roadmaps to unlock the full potential of their Microsoft Security technologies:

  • Accelerator for Microsoft Purview: This accelerator focuses on helping organizations maximize value and security outcomes from Microsoft Purview, a leading data governance and compliance solution. The accelerator reviews sensitive information types (SITs) and data sensitivity labels and evaluates strategies to safeguard sensitive information more effectively.
  • Accelerator for Microsoft Entra ID: Designed to enhance identity and access management, this accelerator delivers a roadmap to optimize security outcomes from Microsoft Entra ID. It includes assessments of authentication mechanisms and evaluations of device and application management capabilities to ensure robust security posture.

“These new accelerators represent Trustwave’s continued commitment to helping organizations strengthen their Microsoft Security environment,” said Jesse Emerson, Senior Vice President of Product Management & Solutions Engineering at Trustwave. “As businesses increasingly rely on Microsoft solutions, these accelerators enable them to rapidly mature their security capabilities, improve compliance, and uncover new opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost savings.”

These accelerators are of paramount importance as more organizations adopt Microsoft Security due to their ability to provide security, compliance, and analytical capabilities to increase visibility and support investigation and response activities.

These additions will be added to Trustwave’s Microsoft Security accelerator program, which also includes:

  • Accelerator for Microsoft Defender XDR: Focuses on optimizing configurations, reducing redundancies, and rationalizing the technology stack.
  • Accelerator for Microsoft Sentinel: Assesses data sources, log source types, and usage to optimize costs and increase value.
  • Accelerator for Microsoft Security Copilot: Helps organizations identify use cases for Security Copilot in security operations for better security outcomes.

A team of Trustwave security experts will analyze the organization’s needs and determine which accelerator(s) are the best fit for them.

The Advantage of Accelerating Your Microsoft Security Investment

Clients opting to adopt a single or multiple accelerators receive a bevy of benefits.

These include access to a team of Trustwave consultants with deep subject matter expertise in Microsoft Security who will help them unlock the full value of Microsoft Security.

This team is tasked with helping increase visibility, investigation, and response capabilities, responding better and faster to threats. The team will also identify redundancies and opportunities for rationalization in the client’s technology stack, improve discovery and insights for enhanced metrics and reporting, and identify potential areas to increase return on investment in Microsoft Security.

Clients will gain the opportunity to attend deep-dive workshops on topics relating to Microsoft Security, reducing learning curves, and optimizing deployment processes. Finally, they will receive a roadmap to accelerate Microsoft Security capabilities and increase security maturity.

The deep-dive workshops are tailored to delve into topics within the Microsoft Security domain, as outlined by the relevant accelerator (e.g., Sentinel, Security Copilot). These sessions provide a chance to investigate areas of interest, including specific use cases or compliance reporting enablement.

Trustwave’s security experts guide clients through a three-step approach for each accelerator:

  1. Discovery: Gathering information to understand the current Microsoft Security environment and objectives.
  2. Analysis: Reviewing data, configurations, and capabilities to assess security posture.
  3. Reporting: Providing a detailed roadmap with recommendations, followed by workshops for deeper exploration of security topics.

Once this process is completed, Trustwave’s team can hop on board and help implement the suggested changes to your Microsoft Security environment.
