Vigil's expertise in the SIEM market will help boost the channel for the leading provider of information security and compliance solutions
London - 19 March 2012 - Vigil Software, the specialist IT Security Distributor, and Trustwave, a leading provider of cloud-based compliance and information security solutions, have announced that Vigil Software has been appointed as a Trustwave distributor for the UK and Ireland. Vigil will focus on building a strong channel programme with its existing partners to support Trustwave's channel strategy by capitalizing on the growing demand for simple-to-deploy and use solutions that organisations can use to bolster security and to achieve compliance with PCI DSS, the CESG Good Practice Guides, and other industry standards and regulations.
Vigil, which supplies security solutions for UK public and private sectors, has been selected based on its successful experience in supporting and deploying Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions. The distributor will focus initially on expanding the channel for Trustwave SIEM solutions with a longer term focus on additional Trustwave security solutions, including its Network Access Control and Web Application Firewalls. Trustwave SIEM solutions, which are currently deployed by enterprise and government entities worldwide, provide a wide range of benefits such as: unified monitoring of security events, achieving compliance, increased IT security and asset protection, policy enforcement, increased efficiency and automation, audit trail and detecting fraud. Trustwave SIEM is a flexible solution that can meet a wide range of customer demands from quick turnkey solutions with its SIEM appliances to large global multi-site solutions with its SIEM software platform. Additionally, to minimise administration burden and capital expenditure, customers may opt for a partial or fully managed solution as a managed security service. Trustwave also supplies SIEM to Managed Security Services Providers (MSSP) who use the solution to serve their customers with an added revenue stream.
