Chicago (May 28, 2010) - Four security experts from Trustwave, the leading provider of information security and compliance solutions, have been selected to deliver briefings at OWASP AppSec Europe 2010 in Stockholm, Sweden, on June 21 through 24, 2010. All presentations will be delivered by members of SpiderLabs, the advanced security team at Trustwave responsible for incident response and forensics, penetration testing and application security and security research.
The Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) is a not-for-profit organization focused on improving the security of application software. OWASP AppSec is dedicated to web application security and focuses on innovative security solutions rather than security problems.
"OWASP AppSec brings together the key individuals responsible for securing business applications, including network, operations and IT team members to help developers learn application security and put these best practices into their work," says Nicholas J. Percoco, senior vice president and head of SpiderLabs. "This event is particularly interesting because it openly and freely shares all materials, tools, presentations and documentation to ensure all stakeholders have the information necessary to secure their organization."
"Web security is the cornerstone to good security posture and OWASP is the authoritative industry association for web application security," says Robert J. McCullen, chairman and CEO of Trustwave. "As the leading application security conference, I'm proud that four members of Trustwave have been selected to speak in one of the most important areas of security."
More information about the presentations will be provided closer to the event date.
