CHICAGO (May 19, 2011) - Trustwave, a leading provider of information security and compliance solutions, today announced that Nicholas J. Percoco, senior vice president and head of Trustwave's SpiderLabs, is to be inducted into the College of Applied Science and Technology (CAST) Academy of Achievement at Illinois State University (ISU). The Academy consists of a select cadre of graduates who have gone on to excel in their professional fields.
Percoco is one of the leading information security professionals in the United States, regularly cited in media coverage of information security issues. SpiderLabs, the ethical hacking and investigations group within Trustwave, which Percoco heads, is the market leader in penetration and application security tests, having conducted thousands in the last 6 years for clients around the world. Percoco and other SpiderLabs personnel frequently present papers at major industry conferences, such as DEF CON, Black Hat and OWASP.
Of more than 40,000 ISU CAST alumni, Percoco is one of the six inaugural inductees of the Academy of Achievement. The choice of inductees is based upon their unique contributions in various science and technology fields. Percoco will be inducted on May 20th, at the Academy's inaugural ceremony.

Percoco graduated from ISU in 1997 with a Bachelor's degree in computer science and is currently a member of the Dean's Advisory Board for the College of Applied Science & Technology.
