Through State-of-the-Art Center, Trustwave will Deliver Managed Security Services to Japanese Businesses and Government Agencies
CHICAGO - August 31, 2016 - Trustwave today announced its first Advanced Security Operations Center (ASOC) in Japan, designed to help organizations fight cybercrime, protect data and reduce risk. The new Advanced Security Operations Center will enhance Trustwave's ability to serve clients headquartered in Japan, in addition to large, multinational businesses with operations in the region. The new Advanced Security Operations Center will be located at Arco Tower in the Meguro ward of Tokyo.
The center will be connected to a global network of nine Advanced Security Operations Centers located throughout North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. Advanced Security Operations Centers are "mission control" centers through which Trustwave delivers managed security services. These secure facilities house the infrastructure and teams delivering customer service, threat detection, threat hunting, platform management and incident response to clients.
Through the ASOC, Trustwave will deliver on demand threat, vulnerability and compliance management services supported by some of the country's top security analysts, experts, ethical hackers, forensic investigators and researchers. The local team will be backed by security experts located around the world, offering Japanese organizations local visibility combined with global threat awareness and protection.
Leading the center is Futoshi Sekiya, who recently joined Trustwave as manager of the Advanced Security Operations Center. He joined Trustwave from Verizon where he was a principal security advisor, and he held previous security operations center management roles at Symantec. Trustwave plans to hire additional experts and analysts that will work within the center.
"Japanese businesses and government agencies require a local presence and native Japanese language abilities which Trustwave will deliver through the new Advanced Security Operations Center. Trustwave will provide managed security services and technical support locally, backed by a global network of centers and analysts spread across the globe," said Futoshi Sekiya, Advanced Security Operations Center Manager, Japan, at Trustwave. "The center represents an important element in our strategy to help organizations worry less about security and focus more on their core objectives."
"Adding a Security Operations Center in Japan is a logical next step in the growth and evolution of Trustwave Managed Security Services in this growing market," said Rick Miller, Chief Operations Officer at Trustwave. "The new ASOC in Tokyo will help us better serve our Japanese and multi-national enterprise clients and allow us to continue to deliver cutting-edge managed security services in region for Japanese businesses and government agencies."
