Demonstrates Trustwave's Commitment to the French Marketplace
LONDON (2 June 2011) - Trustwave, a leading provider of information security and compliance solutions, today announced it has been added to Groupement D'intérêt Economique Cartes Bancaires' (GIE CB) preferred vendor list. This process validates that Trustwave has met all necessary requirements to provide security services and technology solutions to Cartes Bancaires (CB) merchants, acquirers and service providers.
CB is one of the largest European interbank card payment and cash withdrawal systems. Being listed as a GIE CB preferred vendor indicates Trustwave's internal methodologies for measuring compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) have been vetted and approved by CB. Trustwave is one of a limited number of vendors to have gone through the rigorous approval process and achieved this validation, which serves as evidence of its commitment to the French marketplace.
PCI DSS is the payment card industry security requirement for entities that store, process or transmit cardholder data, and has been endorsed by all the main global payment schemes - Visa Inc., MasterCard Worldwide, Discover Network, American Express and JCB.
"This achievement is another validation of our commitment to the European market," said Andy Bokor, executive director, EMEA and APAC, at Trustwave. "We're proud to have CB as a partner, and will remain dedicated to exceeding their stringent security requirements to ensure customer data is protected."
"This is a very important addition to our portfolio," said Paul Trescases, risk manager at Groupement des Cartes Bancaires. "The addition of Trustwave to the GIE CB preferred vendor list will allow us to deliver industry-leading solutions to our merchants that will help them achieve compliance with the PCI DSS."
