Chicago – August 20, 2024 – Trustwave Government Solutions (TGS), a leading Federally-focused cybersecurity provider and the wholly-owned subsidiary of Trustwave, today announced its achievement of authorized status by the State Risk and Authorization Management Program (StateRAMP) for its Government Fusion platform. StateRAMP is the entity charged with providing a security framework for state and local governments to manage third-party risk and verify cloud security services.
In January, Trustwave also received the “In Process Program Management Office (PMO) Review" designation by the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) for its Government Fusion platform. Once TGS receives final FedRAMP authorization, it will be the first and only pure-play Managed Detection and Response (MDR) provider to achieve this designation.
“State and local government rely heavily on their technology partners to strengthen their cybersecurity postures and we’re proud to be able to deliver a solution that meets or exceeds their elevated security requirements,” said TGS President Bill Rucker. “With a government agency authority to operate, and 100 percent US Only persons cleared security operations team servicing the mission 24x7x365, we can offer unparalleled security and peace of mind for state and local entities.”
Available on the StateRAMP marketplace, Trustwave Government Fusion is the platform used for Trustwave's Managed Detection and Response (MDR) and Co-Managed SIEM/SOC (SIEM) services designed for State agencies and clients who require US-only based personnel in a government community cloud environment.
TGS's MDR and SIEM solutions offer 24x7 real-time monitoring, threat detection, threat hunting, intelligence, remediation capabilities, and SOAR functionality seamlessly integrated with a client's existing security technologies. The platform ensures scalability and straightforward onboarding, making it an ideal choice for clients seeking augmentation or Managed SOC services at a significantly lower cost compared to traditional on-premises SOC solutions.
Under the sponsorship of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), Trustwave's StateRAMP certification positions the company to meet the Department of Defense's stringent "US eyes only" requirement for the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC).
Today’s news is pivotal for TGS, as any cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) solution utilized by state or local government entities requires StateRAMP certification.
In March, TGS was named as a Major Player in the inaugural IDC MarketScape: U.S. National Government Professional Security Services 2024 Vendor Assessment, with the analyst firm citing TGS as the first to receive FedRAMP In Process – Program Management Office (PMO) Review designation, at the time, for a pure-play MDR offering.
