CHICAGO – September 25, 2019 – Trustwave today announced that Trustwave DbProtect, its enterprise database security scanning, testing and activity monitoring software that helps protect critical data assets hosted on-site or by cloud service providers, has been designated a Cyber Catalyst solution in the inaugural round of the Cyber Catalyst by Marsh℠ program. Organizations deploying Trustwave DbProtect may qualify for enhanced terms and conditions on cyber insurance policies from a wide variety of participating global insurers.
In a crowded cybersecurity market, it’s difficult for enterprises to evaluate which solutions provide the greatest value. Cyber Catalyst is a first-of-its-kind program, giving organizations greater clarity and confidence in choosing cybersecurity solutions that can have a meaningful impact on cyber risk. In the program, leading cyber insurers evaluated and voted independently on solutions that are most effective in reducing risk.
Out of over 150 cybersecurity products and services evaluated, only 17 received the Cyber Catalyst designation. Trustwave DbProtect was chosen based on its ability to quickly identify and help remediate configuration errors, access control issues, unauthorized privilege escalation and missing patches as well as contend with advanced threats across diverse environments.

Insurers participating in the program include: Allianz, AXIS, AXA XL, a division of AXA, Beazley, CFC, Munich Re, Sompo International and Zurich North America. Product evaluation was based on six key criteria including the ability to reduce cyber risk, key performance indicators, client-use cases and successful implementation, efficiency and ease of use, broad application to the market and distinguishing features. Microsoft served as technical advisor to the program.

Exploration allows security teams to drill down to individual findings to pinpoint the threat, misconfiguration or user access issue putting data at risk. Additionally, the new release offers monitoring capabilities for six new asset types: SAP HANA, AWS Aurora MySQL, MongoDB, SQL 2017 on Windows, AWS RDS MySQL and Oracle 12 multi-tenant. This version also provides scan support for SAP HANA and Oracle 18.
